Due to the latest announcement and advice from the government, as of today, 5th January 2021 we will continue to open our offices under an appointment only, no ‘walk-in’ basis. This will allow us to adhere to the current social distancing guidelines. As always the health and safety of our staff, clients, and customers is of the utmost importance.
Please consider the following Covid-19 FAQs.
Can I still move home?
Yes. The government has advised that you can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary.
Who can currently view a property or have viewings take place in their property?
Anyone that does not pose a direct risk of transmitting Covid-19 and who is not self-isolating. The government suggests that those who are shielding or vulnerable should seek medical advice and carefully consider their circumstances before engaging with the property market.
How can I arrange a viewing?
Please look at the properties on our website. We ask that you have a look at these prior to booking in a viewing to ensure the property may be suitable.
All viewings will take place by appointment and only involve members of a single household. We ask that you are not accompanied by children during a viewing to minimise risk. Prior to any viewing taking place, both parties will be contacted and asked to confirm they have not presented any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 in the last 7 days. No viewing will go ahead if either party has shown symptoms or have been self-isolating.
How will viewings be conducted?
When a viewing takes place, we will ask you to comply with government guidelines that will include avoiding touching surfaces, following 2m social distancing rules and wearing a face mask. Full details will be provided to you upon confirmation of your viewing.
Do I need to vacate my property before a viewing takes place?
Yes, we ask you to vacate your property whilst viewings are taking place in order to minimise your contact with those not in your household.
What do I need to do to prepare for viewings?
Please open all the internal doors prior to the viewing. Once the viewing has taken place, please ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned with standard household cleaning products and towels disposed of safely or washed as appropriate.
Who will be allowed into my property?
Prospective buyers or renters (including those of the same household who must be there), estate agents, conveyancers, surveyors, tradespeople and removal workers.
How have your working practices changed to ensure the safety of your estate agents?
All our branches are being risk assessed with the correct signage being put in place to ensure all visitors and staff members adhere to the government guidelines. In addition, all staff members have been adequately supplied with PPE which includes face masks and hand sanitizer. We will also be on guard to ensure viewings are kept to less than 15 minutes, and there is minimal contact with any surfaces.
As ever, our team are on hand to answer questions, so should you need anything please do not hesitate to contact us.
