Sell service — Sale progression

Dedicated Sales Progression
Because agreeing a sale is only the beginning.

Many delays and avoidable issues arise through a lack of proactive communication. We actively manage every transaction with regular solicitor contact, written updates and a dedicated point of contact you can speak to throughout the process.

Our approach

Specialist advice from appraisal to completion.

A sale does not end when an offer is accepted—it is often where the most important work begins. Our sales progression service is designed to keep your transaction moving, maintaining regular communication with buyers, sellers, solicitors, mortgage advisers and other parties to help ensure the sale progresses as smoothly as possible.

We monitor every stage of the conveyancing process, from the issue of draft contracts through to enquiries, mortgage offers, surveys, exchange and completion. By maintaining close contact with everyone involved, we can identify potential issues early, keep all parties informed and help prevent unnecessary delays before they become larger problems.

Our role is to act as the central point of communication throughout the transaction. We provide regular updates, chase outstanding matters where appropriate and work proactively to keep momentum. Good sales progression is often the difference between a transaction that drifts and one that reaches a successful completion, and we remain involved every step of the way.

How can we help you?

A tailored approach to every instruction

Weekly contact with solicitors and agents

A key part of successful sales progression is keeping communication flowing between all parties involved. We maintain regular weekly contact with solicitors and other estate agents within the chain to monitor progress, identify any outstanding issues and help prevent unnecessary delays. By staying actively involved, we can keep everyone informed, chase updates where required and ensure momentum is maintained from offer acceptance through to exchange and completion. Our role is to act as a central point of contact, helping to keep the transaction moving and providing reassurance throughout the process.

Updates by telephone and email

Once a sale has been agreed, your dedicated sales progressor will remain closely involved throughout the transaction, acting as a consistent point of contact for both the vendor and buyer. They will provide regular weekly updates by telephone and email, ensuring everyone remains informed and aware of the progress being made. By maintaining clear communication with all parties, we can identify potential issues early, answer questions as they arise and help keep the transaction moving forward. This proactive approach provides reassurance during what can often be the most complex stage of the selling process.

Named progression manager

Your sale will be managed by a named sales progressor, providing a consistent point of contact throughout the transaction. Rather than dealing with different people at different stages, you will know exactly who is overseeing your sale and who to contact for updates, advice or assistance. Your dedicated sales progressor will maintain regular communication with both the vendor and buyer, providing weekly updates by telephone and email. They will liaise with solicitors, estate agents and other parties within the chain to monitor progress, address issues early and help ensure the transaction continues moving smoothly through to completion.

Proactive management of every milestone

From the moment an offer is accepted, we actively monitor the key stages of the transaction to help maintain momentum. This includes chasing draft contracts, reviewing progress on property searches, monitoring mortgage offers, following up on survey results and keeping track of any outstanding enquiries or information required by solicitors. By staying involved with these important milestones, we can help identify potential delays early, keep communication flowing between all parties and ensure that nothing is left unnecessarily waiting. Our role is to provide a proactive service that supports both the buyer and seller through the legal process and keeps the journey towards exchange and completion moving forward.

Problem solving

Every property transaction is different, and even well-managed sales can encounter challenges along the way. Our role is to identify potential issues early, communicate with the relevant parties and help find practical solutions to keep the transaction moving forward. Whether it is a delay within a chain, a legal query, a mortgage issue or an unexpected complication, we take a proactive approach rather than simply waiting for problems to resolve themselves. By working closely with buyers, sellers, solicitors and other agents, we aim to remove obstacles wherever possible and maintain momentum through to completion.

Agreeing dates

The final stages of a property transaction can often be the most exciting, but also the most stressful, as exchange, completion and moving dates need to be carefully coordinated between multiple parties. Small delays or conflicting timings can create unnecessary pressure, which is why clear communication and careful planning are essential. We work closely with buyers, sellers, solicitors and other agents to help agree realistic dates that work for everyone involved. By keeping communication flowing and understanding each party’s position, we help coordinate the final steps, reduce last-minute complications and provide reassurance through to completion and moving day.

Market knowledge

Our advice is shaped by a close understanding of the market, from local trends and individual property factors to wider economic influences. By keeping ahead of changing conditions, buyer behaviour and market movement, we ensure every valuation and strategy is based on informed, current insight.
