Our approach
A Red Book valuation is a formal valuation prepared in accordance with the RICS Valuation – Global Standards by an RICS Registered Valuer. Unlike a market appraisal prepared for selling purposes, a Red Book valuation is an independent, regulated report that can be relied upon by lenders, solicitors, accountants, HMRC and the courts. Every instruction is undertaken with objectivity, supported by market evidence and prepared to recognised professional standards.
We undertake Red Book valuations for a wide range of purposes, including secured lending, probate, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, matrimonial proceedings, partnership matters, company accounts and strategic business decisions. Our experience spans residential property, country homes, farms, agricultural land, development land and commercial property, allowing us to provide specialist advice across a broad range of asset types.
Each valuation is tailored to its intended purpose, ensuring the report meets the requirements of the client and any third party relying upon it. We work closely with solicitors, accountants, lenders and financial advisers where required, providing clear, well-supported valuations that stand up to professional scrutiny and help clients make informed decisions with confidence.
