The Judges' Lodgings
The Judges' Lodgings is a Grade I listed Townhouse on 9 Lendal in York, it was used by judges when they attended the sessions of the Assize Courts, which were held four times a year in York. The building was constructed between 1711 and 1726 making it a Georgian build. It was built as the private residence for Clifton Wintringham Senior, who was a medical practitioner. Francis Drake, an antiquary described it as one of the "best built houses in the city".
